When tourists go to Peru, they usually arrive through Lima and depending on how much time they planned to spend in the country it is common to do the route Lima – Cuzco – Machu Picchu – Puno – Arequipa – Nazca – Ica – Paracas – Lima. The order could be inverted or omit some of these places. This is a huge route,  that´s why I will spend 2 or 3 posts talking about this. It is not very common that people who are not backpacking in South America will go to the north of Peru or even the jungle, but in future posts I also have the intention to explore and show how Peru is not only Machu Pichu, Inkas and Ceviche. One of the things Peruvians pride the most about is their food. Do you want to engage into a long and nice conversation with them? Start on the food topic . Different areas of Peru(Jungle, Coast or Mountains) will have diferente types of typical food. In this post, I want to show you some general food. Somethings you will be able to find in most of the country. 1.       1. Ceviche – the national dish The first Ceviche I ate in Peru. Fish with sea food. Ceviche is a mouth watering way of preparing diferente types of fish. The base of it is fish, very accid limes and spice(ají limo). It is usually accompanied by sweet potato, corn and onions. The fish is cooked only in super accid juice of their “limón criollo”. It has a raw-ish kinda of texture, When I think of ceviche the first thing that comes to my mind is someone during summer time saying: "This heat is asking for a fresh ceviche and a cold beer". When someone talks about Peru, if you have any idea  about this country, I could bet that, at least one of these 3 things will come to your mind: 1.Inkas 2. Machu Picchu 3. I know I promised to be back writing about living in Peru.  Now that I left Peru and that I am going into a new adventure. I decided to really commit back to post in here. So as I post this I already wrote other 5 posts that I will programme to be published one per week. Of course the first will be already tomorrow. I will be talking about Peru and lots of things, I will dedicate the months of January and February to write a lot about Peru, where I lived for 4 years in total. This march I will start a new journey and from there I intend to finish writing about Peru and starting the new topics. A question that always comes up whenever I meet someone new in Peru is: Why did you decide to come to Peru, especially Trujillo? How did you do it? First of all, we have to consider my professional trajectory and remember that it is not very easy to find a job at an international school if you are not a native speaker of the English Language(America, British, Australian, Canadian, etc).  But as my dream was to get to know the world in a different way I started looking for Jobs all around the world. The previous name of the Blog was ´Eu ando pelo mundo` which means I walk throughout the world which is the portuguese translation fora part of the song  Esquadros from the Brazilian Singer Adriana Calcanhoto . Sometimes I hear this question from people and my answer is never saying the name of the countries I have visited. I always have to start explaining what ´knowing a country` means to me. I don´t feel comfortable saying that I know some country I have visited for a week, a couple of days or even some few hours. As I explained in the previous post(in Portuguese) the objective of the blog(when I first created it) was to show first my family and friends what I was doing while in my exchange in Venezuela and also to show other people who could be interested in the country. My new objective is show the place where I am living(Peru) and also be able to Interact with other bloggers who might have a similar experience(International teaching), so I decided to change the language from Portuguese to English.  I meant to write with more frequency when I just moved. But too many things as usual and I didn´t give myself lots of time to do it, but now really coming back, so wait for many news around here. 

Quem acompanhou o blog, durante o tempo que estava na Venezuela, viu como meu português foi ficando péssimo de acordo com o tempo que eu passava lá, falava só espanhol e não praticava meu português. Preciso inclusive comentar que quando cheguei no Brasil foram ainda uns 5 dias para eu começar a falar português direito, sem misturar palavras em espanhol. Vejam um exemplo dos erros horríveis que cometia nesse post . Mas quem fala a língua espanhola vai entender perfeitamente que tipo de erro que eu estava cometendo e isso era justamente pelo fato de falar só espanhol. Além disso, normalmente, quando uma pessoa cria um blog com um determinado tema e objetivo ela tende a ler e interagir mais com outros blogueiros daquele tema. Ao decidir voltar a escrever pensei: o objetivo desse blog era falar das minhas experiências de intercâmbio para amigos e família. Agora resolvi mudar! Os últimos 4 anos! Quando fiz o último post por aqui (há quase quatro anos), tinha acabado de voltar da Venezuela do meu Intercâmbio que fiz pela AIESEC. Logo que cheguei foi bem legal rever os amigos, família e blaus! Já estava realmente querendo voltar por esses motivos. Voltei e, sem emprego, comecei a participar ativamente da AIESEC onde trabalhei na área de Gestão de Talentos, num comitê organizador e posteriormente no time responsável por Expansão e na Organização do evento de 5 anos! Além disso trabalhei por um tempo dando aulas particulares, até que teve uma seleção pra bolsista no Centro de Ensino a Distância da UFAM(através do qual viajei pra uns interiores a trabalho) e finalmente em janeiro de 2013 fui chamado pra trabalhar na Escola Internacional do Amazonas. Caramba! Faz muito tempo que não venho aqui postar nada! E olha que aconteceu muita coisa, mas como inicialmente o objetivo desse blog era pra falar do meu intercâmbio na Venezuela, não achei por bem vir aqui ficar falando da minha vida ou das minhas viagens a trabalho ou a Passeio. Mas só para atualizar, nesses 4 anos sem postar viajei para vários lugares no Interior do Amazonas - Presidente Figueiredo - Novo Airão - Tefé - Manaquiri - Santa Isabel do Rio Negro (uma cidadezinha minúscula, mas muito bonitinha!) - Balbina Algumas dessas foram a trabalho, mas a maioria foi mesmo a passeio. Além desses lugares viajei também para Sampa, Venezuela novamente (pra visitar os amigos) e pros Estados Unidos onde fui visitar o Pateta (nem sou tão fã assim do Mickey). Oi pessoal, sei que faz um bom tempo que não posto aqui, mas eu juro que não é por falta de coisa pra contar, mas sim por falta de tempo. Inclusive tenho muita coisa pra contar, mas eu vou contando as coisas devagar depois quando já estiver no Brasil. Isso porque amanhã é meu último dia em Barquisimeto, e em seguida me vou na Ultima Aventura por Venezuela, até chegar em casa. Desde sábado, tenho sentido um misto de sentimentos bons e ruins, mas ambos fazem parte dessa experiencia que me propus a viver. O sentimento de felicidade se dá devido ao fato de ter terminado o trabalho, que me deu muito estresse por conta dos chefes que são pessoas arrogantes e manipuladoras(além de outros atributos nada agradáveis) e também porque em breve estarei em casa, poderei ver, abraçar, beijar, contar histórias e mostrar fotos pra minha família e amigos. Oi pessoal, aqui na Venezuela, no ano passado o Chavez decretou que a Semana Santa fosse uma semana inteira, com o intuito de fazer economia de energia durante esse período. O que faz com que todo o país faça o que?? Viaje mais uma vez, e eu como bom brasuelano (brasileiro/venezuelano) também vou aproveitar pra viajar, daqui a pouco vou trabalhar e já vou levar minha mochila pra sair de lá direto pro terminal pra pegar o ônibus. Carnaval? Como assim? Na Venezuela tem carnaval? E tu que nunca curtiu carnaval foi? Como é o carnaval aí? Eles ouvem Samba e Axé também? Temo que não possa responder a maioria dessas perguntas pelo fato de que eu não vivi o carnaval Venezuelano, como festa, mas sim, viajando. Pelo que consta na internet e pelo que conversei com Venezuelanos sobre o carnaval, ele acontece basicamente de duas maneiras. Uma aquela onde crianças adolescentes e jovens brincam de jogar balão de água. Porém, o que me disseram é que essa brincadeira tem saído do simples brincar pro agredir pelo fato de que algumas pessoas colocam tinta, urina e até fezes dentro do balão.
